About Our House

The Sigma Kappa house at the University of Michigan is a beautiful brick house accented with dramatic pillars and built on a large front lawn, perfect for laying out on a nice day or sledding down the hill after a fresh snow! Our house is equipped with many large and spacious living areas; The dining room is a warm and welcoming place to share a meal with sisters. The living room, with its cozy couches and large windows, is a house-favorite for curling up on the weekends and watching the snow fall during winter months. Our screen room, home to the largest TV in the house, is where our girls gather to cheer on our football team during away games, or even indulge in a Monday night showing of The Bachelor. The basement is a multifaceted room home to a study space, a laundry room, and a gym! Equipped with large tables and white boards, it’s perfect for holding a study group with your sisters, or even releasing some stress from school with a quick workout! The day our sisters move into our chapter house is the day they truly feel at home here on Michigan’s large and busy campus. While heading off to college can be a new and exciting time, we recognize that it can also be challenging. 1811 Washtenaw Avenue is the perfect place to settle into a home away from home and establish lasting memories and friendships.
